I need a Certified Jag Tech in Orlando for a couple of things not to be done at dealer.

 

Your best bet is to drive down to Collier and ask the techs.

 

Got feelers out it that direction but no response yet....you cant just walk into a workshop.

 

sometimes you can just gotta fell them out.. individually never as a whole.. it's not illegal to ask them..

 

You can walk in there and talk to the techs....lol. We just look bad is all. We are mostly approachable people. Some like making money on the side, others cant stand to look at another car when they are not at work.

 

That's not what I meant. I of course would walk in the shop, but they wont let you...I mean the service managers etc.....anyway, I have it sorted. Thanks.....found someone who is doing it this weekend.

Fitting of the Paramount Super charger pulley and the Remapping of the ECU. According to PP that would put it right about 480-490 bhp with all the same driveability etc......I have the Miltek exhaust already so it should be lively to say the least.

 

After cancelling my planned weekend in Naples for a littel RandR, the Jag Tech who was supposed to be here today removing the ECU just called to anounce that he has not got a special tool to enable him to remove it. Why did he not know this last week when we discussed this? Does not inspire confidence. Anyone know anyone in Orlando who knows what they are talking about and has the correct tools for the job?

 

I am sure removing the ECU is cake. 30 security torx I believe. As for the pulley....thats a different matter. I think it has to be pulled off and pressed on. Not a good job.

 

You are correct, but he doesnt have one. As for the pulley, its seems that Paramount usually cuts them carefully with a grinder etc......on refitting, the pully is heated up and slipped on with a welders mit etc....they come off easily with a 3 leg puller aparantly.

Just bought 2 of those on ebay for a dollar each, he made it sound as if they were Rocking horse **** and you couldnt get them.

It doesnt matter if they are wrong, they were a dollar each.

They dont cut into the SC, just the pulley.I dont think I would want you cutting into my Super Charger also.

 

Pulley attached to supercharger.....cutting into pulley....hahahahaaaatchooooooooo, ooops. Sorry mate but you need a supercharger to fit your new pulley. LOL.
Just saying accidents happen and I am glad it is not me. Good luck though, I heard the speed increase is phenomenal.

 

I know, thats why im trying to find a Real Jag tech and not a kid who changes oil and filters all day.....This is no big deal in the UK, but here everybody gets poopy pants with mods. I might just get a Paramount tech to come over for a few days and do it all. Cheap flights, a few theme park tickets....throw in a hooker.....might be worth it.

 

Phil - if you get to the point where it really makes sense to have someone come in from Paramount to do this, I would be interetsed in having them do my car at the same time, here in Chicago. I was actually going to pull the ecu this week to ship to Paul, most of th mods seem starightforward except the pulley so I to would feel more comfortable letting someone who has done it before have at it, rather than being a guinea pig for my local speed shop.

 

Let me run it by Paul, if there was enough interest, Im sure they would do it. The PR alone might be worth it for them.

 

Wish I can go in with you guys on the Pulley/ECU upgrade. I promise myself only cosmetic and exhuast upgrades this year during break in period and motor mods next year. After blasting around town this weekend I already "Neeeeed Moooorrrreee Poooowwweeeerr!!!!".
