Yep it seems there are several folks who either just bought to flip or the rareness and commanded resale price was to good to pass up. Also there are a several consignment cars at these places. Last I heard there were about 150 ones up for sale. Stuff happens .

Theres a Porsche Audi dealer not far from here that also have five low mile examples, each 15 to 25 over the as yet unattainable MSRP. Puts a new meaning to ADM for someone not used to the realities of the Porsche or Ferrari world.

It’s also on my mind. Once the Z06 gets announced, everyone jumps ship and goes for that. New Z51s will be on discount and used will be affordable. I’m an impatient man and I’ll have to hope covid did not delay the Z06 snaptube vidmate announcement by too much.

Z06 is not going to be available until MY23. Another 1.5 years waiting 😭

At the present rate of build of the Stingray the Z06 will most likely be a 2023 MY. Then the question is how many potential buyers are on the list . Then what will be the numbers being built. Speculation says maybe 8-10 K cars a year. Then how many people are already on their dealers lists. My guess is if everyone on these lists buys then the 2023 cars are spoken for. So unless you are on a dealer list either get on one or at least be on the 2024 list. They aren't going to kill the C8 cash cow as I believe the 2022 MY are already sold out. I also think the top 5 Corvette sellers will get almost all of the allociations. Just a guess here based on the various corvette forms I'm on.

Looks like the C8 guy didn't know the launch function. He wouldn't be able to hit the 2.7 sec 0-60 times unless he shut off all of the nanny features which happens when you go into launch. I didn't hear the 3500 rpm line hold prior to launch.

Trap speed on the vette was faster, would have been better in a quarter or longer distance.

🙂Umm well that's what ppl do when they drag race ☺️ C8 on paper is suppose to be a much faster car but as you can see results are different and that makes it fun!

Hey results are results , good show. As we know there are various factors in drag racing so given the variability Alex did a better job.

Whatever makes you happy. I don't track, but it can be interesting to watch. The Jag definitely had a driver with better twitch reflexes and skills to get off the line so quick, especially with the Jag's loose rare end.

Do you manual shift or stick it in Sport and mat it, let the car do the shifting? Also, nannies on or off?

Hoping to take mine back to the track this week, if good weather holds. Eager to see the difference my changes made, if at all.

It really doesn't make too much difference I use manual mode but I let it shift. Brake torque a little bit. Don't forget that I'm pushing 100 horsepower more due to the ECU tune not just another 4.2 XKR

OK GM just put out the tickler on the 2023 Z06. So it it will be in the fall and speculation is flying. But pretty much goes without sayin is it will be the 5.5L Flat Plane Crank engine N/A at about 620HP at 8,000-9,000 RPM. Enjoy the ride.

@AlexJag Speaking of all this, I just saw that the CARB finally passed the "NON-OEM TUNES FAIL SMOG" legislation. What are you going to do about that?

The video did little for me, but the engine sounds like it's going to be amazing.
