Hi all, My 3015 XK Cabriolet had to have an engine change which I am not going to go into details for, the replacement came from a 2010 XF with 18k miles, everything is fine, however now the exhaust note is softer, it still growls but not as aggressively and loud as before. Any idea what might be the cause?

 

Doesn't the XF have lower compression than the XK?
I dunno, just asking. I know the HP ratings are different.

 

As far as I know it is same engine same specs.
