Default new/old style

Hey guys,
Thought I'd add a little old world style to my XK-R. These are Coco mats. I used to have these things in my '65 TR4, back in the day. These mats are a very high quality and come in a variety of color combos. Apologies, for them appearing sideways.
You can even have one custom made for your trunk/rear hatch area, but, I drew the line at almost $200 for that mat......

Used to love coco mats. I had them in my '73 Mercury Capri, and my '69 Cougar. I've thought about them for my XKR as well.

I am indifferent to them. I would not stack them on the OEM's; it's one or the other.

Yeah, agree. I threw them in for the pic.
I was looking for something different in the way of additional protection, rather than the WeatherTech. Anyway, the old girl won't see much winter action as my AWD vehicle has better traction.
Happy Trails......

You had a Capri too? I owned one of the first to arrive in our area. A '71 with a dark green exterior and a biscuit interior. I loved that little thing. I may still have the Haynes manual for it.
Happy Motoring....

I'm another ex-Capri owner - and mine was a '73 too, though outside NA they were badged as Fords, didn't have those ginormous front bumpers and had single rectangular headlights. Ah, the Essex V6 - what a bloody great lump of cast iron! And the crappy 4-speed gearbox with clunky external linkages because it was originally from the Zephyr, which had a column shift. I upgraded to a Toyota Celica 5-speed 'box; it really improved the car. Decent headers and exhaust, bigger carb, wider wheels - it tonked along pretty well.

The mats look like "Berber" carpet material weave.

Hey Rich,
They are so heavy and well constructed my girlfriend had trouble lifting the packaged when they arrived. I have since removed the OEMs and these fit like a glove, The heel pad is very heavy rubber. Well worth the costs.
There is a trunk mat available too.
Happy Trails.....
