Default New Owner - 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Convertible

Hi,

Proud new owner of 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Convertible. Had 11,800 miles when purchased.

Question: Does anyone have any experience with the wind deflector that fits behind the front headrests? Pros/cons?

Default Info on wind deflector

ksammy:

I too am a new member, welcome! I don't have the deflector on my '08 XK but I spoke with a guy in October that had one and liked it.

He is "WHITEXKR". He saw my new member post and remembered meeting me at a Waynesboro British car show..

Try contacting him for some info.

Enjoy,

Jeff

ksammy-
My experience is only on the earlier models (2001), but FWIW, they definitely do significantly cut down annoying wind noise and buffetting, and even help you maintain a steadier cabin temperature. I find that you can have a conversation with your passenger easily in a normal voice with one fitted. Only real con is they take up the rear 'seats', if you want to call them that.

I think the nicest ones are the factory models, but there are credible aftermarket alternatives at lower prices:
