Default The New XKR-S

The new car is called the XKR-S and it rates as the fastest production XK to date thanks to a series of weight saving modifications and engine upgrades over the standard XKR on which it’s based. The V8 gets a recalibrated engine management system that enables the XKR-S to reach a top speed of 174mph, 19mph faster than the regular XKR.

Visual enhancements: A new front air-splitter and side sill-extensions, a revised rear spoiler and new bumper with an integrated diffuser.
Wheels & Brakes: 20in Vortex alloy wheels housing Alcon R Performance brakes with red monobloc six-piston callipers and 400mm brake discs.

A good friend of mine here in florida said a british couple in his neighborhood has one.. he works at the country club and told me he had to put one of those barcode stickers on the window of one last week.. he told me it had huge quad tips and said "RS" and he know his cars so I'm guessing we already have them here..!. I'm going to ask him for some pictures tomorrow

I really like the rear diffuser........everything else is very subtle changes to me. Same engine..just changed the puter so it lets it go bigger top-speed(thus the bigger rear spoiler). If they made that rear bumper available....I'd be tempted.

From everything that i've read we will not be seeing the xkr-s here
because the bean counters don't think we would spend the extra money,
without an increase in HP.

here is a link to the UK Jag website
http://www.jaguar.co.uk/uk/en/xk/mod...odels/XKRS.htm

Shame its a beautiful car

They are probably right about it...there probably wouldn't be enough cars sold to offset bringing it here to the states.
