Default Newb, my first Jag

Hi all, just a quick hello. Bought my first Jaguar a couple of weeks ago. Always loved the XKR and managed to pick up a 2011 XKR in white with 21500 miles on the clock. I didn’t know at the time but the original sales invoice was with all the paperwork and it has the Speed pack and Black pack. It is my daily driver and it puts a smile on my face every time I sit in it. There are a few bits I want to do to it, but this is just an introduction and I will post for some advise and help later

Just a Colonist here, but a question; Since Brit cars are supposedly one year earlier per Model Year, shouldn't a 2011 be a "2012" second facelift model?
Also cool with the Adaptive Cruise, not many other than the first facelift model year (2010 in US) have that option.

The factory model year starts in around September/October so anything registered in the UK in 2011 prior to then will most likely be a first facelift model.

Hi, it’s an early 2011 on an ‘11’ plate rather than a ‘61’ plate which is 2011/2012. The deal I had on it was too good to pass up on. I must admit I have never and can’t see myself ever using CC in London or Hertfordshire.

I used my ACC twice today. Once on the 40 mile trip to fetch my daughter's dog and once on the return to home. I only used the brake about six times, and that's the off-highway parts.

kev2482,
Stunning Car! Love the speedpack skirt extensions and the front splitter lip. When I bought mine 10 years ago, I added them from Mina Galleries. 21,000 miles only? It's basically a new car. Mine will pass 200,000 miles on Monday or Tuesday of this coming week. Resting at 199,900 miles today. Enjoy, it will be the best car you've ever owned.

Thanks tberg. 200,000 miles, that’s impressive and it looks pristine. I was pretty lucky with my one. It was an ex demo and then my mother in law bought it from the dealer, kept all the services up to date drove it about once a week and rarely put her foot down, and now it is mine. I will probably create another thread for some of the minor mods I am thinking about and hopefully I could get your thoughts on them
