Nice car, nice price
Came across a very nice 2010 XKR for what seems to be a very competitive price. Anyone interested?

I'd say it's a good price not great, it looks like it was bought at auction which is something I'm not excited about buying unless I know the history of the car. Looking myself over the last 12 mo's I saw a number of 2010 XKR's around this same price with the same miles but being sold by the owners. Also be aware that it is winter AND with the stock market taking a hit you may well see more cars on the market with negotiable prices as margins come due
Tinted tail lights - you can buy that tint very cheap on eBay. For the life of me I will never understand why on earth anyone would want to make it so their tail lights are LESS noticeable. The idea of trying to look "cool" at the expense of safety makes zero sense to me. I think that should go ultra cool and completely eliminate them altogether for Darwinism

I think that is a pretty cool looking car. Very stealthy. I think it looks classy with a touch of bad a$$.
It is a good (I don't think great) price for a higher mileage car. The price does not make me suspicious at all. The seller looks like a small re-seller who probably bought this at auction for $25k.
The rule in the auto business is this: You don't make money when you sell the car. You make money when you BUY the car.
And for further reference my '11 XKR convertible has 13k on it. I could probably sell it for $45k if I needed it gone in a hurry.

High mileage car for this class of car. I've also noticed some modifications on the car, so history and actually seeing and having it examined closely (even in the mid 30s) should have been considered before purchase. Only the new owner knows the "true value" now. Personally, I couldn't buy any car regardless of price unless I can see it, research it's history, and have it thoroughly checked over.

Not a fan of that look either but there's certainly a number of people here who probably say the same about my combo or subsequent work done so I'm not going to knock that. Appearance is a purely subjective thing. Personally I've had a black car and a black motorcycle then swore I'd never do that again unless the deal was so amazing I couldn't say no.
What I will say is that that particular car does has a number of concerns that would preclude me from ever considering it though there are a LOT of people who simply look at "price" not "value" which share little in common - a great example is those who blindly opt for "salvaged" cars without knowing what they are getting into just because they think they're saving a couple grand. Again "ignorance has it costs"... perhaps this car is a good car with no hidden gotchas but when I was looking over the last year I had seen a number of gorgeous 2010 XKR's with similar or slightly less miles for @ $32-35K being sold private party (the only way I ever consider buying a car) with a known history not an auction car. This is the right time of year to be a buyer and, as mentioned, with the shellacking going on in the stock market mark my words this will have an impact on higher end used cars. X150 is now really close to 10 years old.
