I personally like the look of the Jaguar badge better (2012 one) - however I bought a 2008. Have any of you added it to your 2007-2011 models (or will this look weird?)

Also, have you added the "R" badge in the front grill?

The round traditional Jaguar emablem would look much better IMO.

 

I thought there would be too much bling crowded on the trunk lid if I put the Leaper above the "JAGUAR" embossed chrome finish molding, so I put it on my license plate frame.

 

Hmmm, I never thought of using the round emblem...Might want to try it out...

Putting it on your license plate frame makes it look like you put it there yourself. In my opinion, looks a bit out of place and tacky =/ Just my opinion though.

 

How was the fit? Some time ago I also ordered one from e-bay and the problem was that the leaper was flat vs. the trunk lid that is slightly curved. The leaper did not have enough flex in it to stick and conform to the curved trunk lid and the ends tended to lift off. So, I had to toss it. Is this leaper curved to fit the contours of the XK trunk lid?

No, the leaper wasn't curved. But the one I bought, at least, was flexible enough to mould to the trunk properly.

 

This is not a big deal , you buy and add a leaper .May be it's been a better way of customization because you have a large space devoid of leaper and you can put a round growler emblem if you like
