ODB Diagnostics and Monitoring

ODB Diagnostics and Monitoring
I have Carly ODB for my BMW X5 and it works great. Does anyone know or have any experience with something similar for Jaguar? It would be great for monitoring temp, volts and other information not provided by the gauges. I have an XK 2009.

There's a whole sticky thread at the top of the 'General Tech Help' page dedicated to OBD scanners:

Two weeks ago my 07 XK popped up a CIL, so not taking my own advice, I just quickly found something well rated on Amazon that does wifi, since I have an iPhone.
Ordered it, it came quickly, and I was able to read and clear the code, as well as get lots of other info with downloadable apps (DashCommander, and ODB Fusion). The OBD II reader I ordered recommended the DashCommander app, and it works quite well, and so does the ODB Fusion (just different presentation).
The reader I ordered was:
iKKEGOL iCar 2 Mini OBD2 OBD II WiFi Car Diagnostic Scan Tool for IOS iPhone iPad PC with Switch Auto Sleep(Black+Blue)
http://www.amazon.com/iKKEGOL-Diagno...lack%2BBlue%29
My first experience with an OBD II scanner, and so far I'm happy.

Others, including myself, use the TORQUE App. I also have Dash Commander but prefer Torque. The Bluetooth adapter I bought came with a miniDVD that had full versions of both apps. They both have a LOT of accessible information.
I use an old tablet I have no more use for as a dedicated screen, plus on my phone if I happen to forget the tablet.

I use a ScanGauge, which I mount on the steering wheel pad (just in front of the steering wheel). Mounted it with Velcro tape. I can reset a CIL on the run in just a few seconds. Jaguar has over sensitive emission signals, which can pop a CIL. If the CIL immediately reoccurs, then I think there is a genuine problem.
