Default Oil Filter

Hi,

New to a 2013 Jaguar XK. So far I love it. I am having difficulty locating the oil filter. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chuck

Somewhere in the front of the engine.
it's accessible from the top, but you need a classic oil filter tool removal like this

Top of the engine on the left under the big cover. It is a round plastic can.

See this thread for details on DIY 5.0L oil change: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-change-86896/ It is critical that you use the proper spec 0-20 synthetic oil in the 5.0L.

Take Care around the plastic coolant and vacuum lines. They get brittle and break easily.

I've always wondered how the dealership avoids getting any oil dripage on the engine or the bottom splash cover after changing oil filters.
