Jaguar also recommends the cheapest oil you can buy, Pennzoil Ultra. So they have no financial motive. But they tested it for us at an expense and told us there is no unintended consequences and it can be used for 12 months oci. How many other oils have done that?

Moreover test after test after tests, Pennzoil Ultra has come out as #1, proving Jaguar right and a company that cares.

And what about all those years before Jaguar recommended Pennzoil Ultra and only Castrol Unobtainium was recommended by Jaguar?

Tell that "Jaguar cares" story to those owners who sought warranty help and were denied.

Does Pennzoil pay car manufacturers for recommending its oil?

Same as every and all car manufacturers. However, none of the others were as correct as Jaguar, not even mighty Toyota.
Ok they make $40 per person, per year, more than average oil, Do they not deserve compensation for creating that spec? testing? being right?
And why arent other oil manufacturers formulating that spec and landing that windfall- cause there is no money in it.

If we dont want to rip-off Jaguar, lets see folks use a formulation/ spec not tested or approved by Jaguar- and report back if they have had fewer instances of Injector clogging, carbon build up, OCI, etc.

I understand that if you are savvy you can get away with less, but for the average person its a fair bargain for not having to learn about oil and gamble.

It's the PERFECT oil for my 110 Fahrenheit (44C) days in the desert. The asphalt gets over 150 F (66C) and all that radiant heat is a bitch.

Um, to go to my house? To the store? Get fuel? See my wife who lives also in my house? See all the neighbors?
Yeah, those reasons.

Yeah, those reasons.
That must be one massive estate if you have to visit your wife by car?

I didn't remove it. My headlights have 10% headlight tint on them. I also swapped out the yellow signal lamp for a chromium coated one, which still has yellow illumination.
I DID play with the colors a bit in Paintshop though, that may have done a bit more.
Here's an unmodified picture where I still had the yellow lamps,but I guess it does hide those reflectors pretty well;

Do you know what I was in when I took this photo in 1968? Look closely.
