Hi all,
I am replacing my tail light, and followed some of the threads here recommending original jaguar bulbs (to make sure my "failure" message goes away). I hate going to the dealer to buy parts..
I looked at the bulb currently in the car, and its not a Jaguar bulb, but a GE one.
I wasnt sure if this is intended or the previous owner bought aftermarket bulbs. Any idea?
Thanks!

As long as they are of similar wattage should not cause a problem. Haven't changed any XK bulbs yet!
Did on wife's XK8 and used non OEM's, not a problem, no codes.
Cheers, Adrian

I got new brake light bulbs at NAPA but, they have two different versions - you want the more expensive one. The first couple of times they only had the cheap versions and they worked, but only for a few weeks. The more expensive ones (a whopping $2/each or something) have worked fine for last 8 months.
