Default Parking sensor does nothing??

Just had my '09 XKR delivered yesterday, and pictures did not do it justice. Stunningly gorgeous and that engine note is simply awesome (can't wait to try it with fuse 19 pulled). But I digress.

Maybe it's somehow user error, but my parking aid only blinks red on the overhead console when I put it in reverse or push the button, but doesn't beep or come up on my display. Any helpful ides?

Thanks!

When you select reverse, there should be a single short tone to confirm that the park assist is active. If there is a long tone followed by the flashing red light, that is indicating that there is a fault with the system.

If there is no sound at all, be sure to check your volume pre-set levels for the park sensors. You will find that in the vehicle set up on the touch screen.

Thanks, Jonny. Now when I start the engine, there's a tone with a message that says, "Park Assist inactive. See your dealer." Great - hopefully covered under my warranty.
