Is it really? I have bought a few Topix subscriptions over the years but have never seen it on there.
I did find a Jaguar parts site on the net once though but you needed to be a dealer to log in. Perhaps they have added a link to that now?
My Jaguar Dealer Parts manager uses his TOPIx login to access JEPC on the JLR servers so my assumption was it's linked. Next time I visit the Dealer, I'll ask for more detail. That could be some time as we're in lockdown!
I use one of the "unofficial" offline versions which is a snapshot from late 2018. These come as an ISO and open to around 2GB.
I prefer to install the entire JEPC rather than run it as a virtual disk. Very useful but it takes about ten hours to copy.
That makes sense then. Dealers must see a lot more through the top button. The button for Independent Operators just gives you access to the technical documents plus diagnostics:
It sounds like we have the same copy of the JEPC. I have been using various versions since around 2003 when it was distributed to the dealers on CD so it was easier to get a copy of it. It used Netscape Navigator which show how old it is!
I used to run the JEPC updater regularly and it would connect to a server and download the latest prices and parts information but that hasn't worked for quite a few years, probably since dealers started using it on line.
Dealers had to pay quite a bit for it in 2003. You would have thought it would be free!
