Imo you'd be throwing 90 bucks away.

if your interested in eeking out more power from your NA engine then De5in's thread is worth reading.

Btw you've not stated your MY and wether a 5.0 or a 4.2.

i am not adverse to chip tuning and have a DTUK box on my car, perhaps I've just thrown money away, only a dyno run will show otherwise and it's booked in for the end of the month.

On my little 3 cyl Peugeot they do 5 different engine powers from 90 through to 160 bhp, mine is 110.

There is no difference to the engine whatsoever, excepting the tune so I fitted one of these. TUV approved (fwiw).and a supposed engine guarantee.

It certainly feels faster, but again not able to dyno due to lockdown.

But think on this Jaguar's flagship engine was the 4.2 or 5.0, so the only way to make an NA go quicker is to fit an SC.

By all means give it a try and report back, personally I'd think it was a waste of money and may.well permenantly screw your engine.

All that's above from Marky, plus there is no "chip" for an XK. It would need the ECU reflashed.

The term "Eeking" is correct. I am suspecting a difference of about 25HP. Worth it to me, but this is after 2 weeks of data collection and fiddling with the tune, plus we will likely to a final revision after about a week or so has gone by. My total cost is around $1200 and I think that's on the cheap side, so I have a feeling that 90 bucks for 60 HP is unreasonable.

If you want to invest the money / assume the risk on your engine I would be very interested in your experiences. Just please do before and after dyno runs or 1/4 mile runs.

This device reminds me of a similar OBD tuner called a VOLO tuner which has been pretty thoroughly discredited (through dyno runs) and one that I myself experimented with just to see if it made any difference on my XK8. It was just flashing lights. Interestingly I have read online where people were defending their purchase of the VOLO where they say to truly get the benefit of it, you need your car tuned. That amused me.

Buy it and let me know! I have doubts but I'm all in for empirical data!
