Is this price too good to be true? Or have XKR values really fallen this much?

If you go through that dealer's inventory, half of it is marked "too good to be true" by CarGurus. There's a 2012 911 for $40k. Theres a 2012 Bentley Continental for $78k. I'd be curious to see what someone finds out. The XKR with only 6500 miles has had 4 owners. I'm thinking they might all be lemon law returns. There's a dealer in my area that specializes in late model low mileage exotics that were forced to be taken back by the manufacturer. Whatever issues are supposedly sorted out and they can still have balance of factory warranties, but have to be denoted as lemon law returns.

I highly doubt it, probably wrong price loaded. Other consideration, could be salvage title?

Call them and offer to buy it for $28k cash right now!

That EXACT same car, going by the VIN, is also "For Sale" in Florida, but for $60k.

Wow the current listing is at 6,300 miles. That's $33k in depreciation for 136 miles!

EVERY ONE of the cars listed on their site are Tens-of-Thousands (+/-) below fair price.

Somebody please figure out the scam before I impulse buy the Ferrari, Bentley, or Lamborghini at almost half market value. All claim no title or accident issues by Auto Check which is more stringent than Carfax.

My crack investigative skills have led me to a streetview of the dealer. Who could imagine the incredible inventory located within? These cars look to be the modern-day equivalent of a barn find lol.

There's a dealer in northern NJ that specializes in retailing high-end, salvage title insurance total loss cars bought at auction and advertised with "minor" damage. Buyer beware, particularly with cars that look great but have salt water damage. A trap for the unwary.

You can't rely on CarFax, AutoCheck or any other similar company's "clean"report, as they report only what is provided to them and their terms and conditions disclaim any responsibility for the vehicle's condition. Those reports are useful only as a starting point in your due diligence.

If it seems too good to be true, it is. There's a sucker born every day.

Default Total Scam

These same cars show up periodically on Cargurus at different tiny dealers. I was stupid enough to actually get up early and drive to a dealer fairly close by to buy that Bentley but, alas, they knew nothing about it or any of the other cars they supposedly had.

BTW, if you ask for info, the "owner" responds that he's presently living in England but will sell you the car for that price if you pay his plane fare to come back and sign the papers.

Thanks to everyone for all the replies.

My instinct was telling me "too good to be true", but my brain was still hoping there was a slim chance it was real.

I'm surprised they are listing so many cars in this version of the scam.

Common over here too, but not on such a large scale. It obviously catches a few suckers, or they wouldn't bother.
