For those who would be BEHIND me, which certainly I'm used to nowadays.

Having personally never seen ANY post-2006 XKRs other than mine (I like the exclusivity), I have no idea if I'm correct or not, just using the eBay information I have available.
I got my drill type today, white leaper and circle, with a red JAGUAR. Fifteen bucks free shipping, Gen 5 with the CREE LED.
Also, instead of electrical tape, I will use metal tape made for ducting (NOT "duct" tape"), also called Speed Tape in the US Military. It doesn't degrade, allow any light to transmit, one piece will cover the whole lens, and will look nice and shiny, should anyone happen to crawl under my open door.
Can you give me an item number for the lights you bought

Although I haven't received mine yet, the item I ordered (white logo with red lettering), was item number 191348060403.

Which puddle light looks the best, the leaper or the head emblem.

You gave me the correct number, but will not deliver to europe. I have the leaper ones fitted as in picture, but they have no red on the name. Now i see these new head emblem ones i'm thinking about changing. but i don't know.

powerhouse, that sucks.
kj07xk, these the ones you got?
Now that I actually LOOKED at the item number, it would appear that we did indeed get the same ones. Small world, huh? Mine took three days to arrive. You're a minute closer than I am to Georgia, where they ship from.

Yep, I noticed that right after I posted. I didn't edit quick enough to beat your reply.

powerhouse, what you've pictured appear to be puddle light replacements, no drilling required, correct?
Do you have a link to those? (I haven't received my drill in ones yet, although I'm still within the expected delivery 'window', so they're not late.)

There just a direct replacement for the door puddle light, pop out the old and in with the new. They say for xj but fit the xk as well. Here's the link,

Ok, I really like the idea of just popping in a new puddle light, rather than drilling holes in my baby, but which one??? which one???
Only recourse is to try them, so I ordered both, then I can see and compare.
Maybe put a different one on each side?

Still waiting on mine to come in, hopefully next week.

K, I'd use the puddle replacements if they work and then take the drill ones and mount them in the garage where you park. Hook up a 12V power supply to your garage door opener.

That way when you pull in you can have a nice jag logo show up on your hood so you know where to stop, or when you open the garage to take her out.

The possibilities are endless, walls, floors, night lights

When you get them in post pics and tell us which you prefer.

They came in so here are some pics, they do look sweet but unfortunately my camera didn't do well when photographing the logos.

I modified the terminals so they would go right into the connector then used electrical tape to hold in place.

Going to take a look to see if I could find a mating connector for the door and install that way, but for for a quick setup the way I did it will work.

Only thing I noticed is the logo circle has a small flat at one point because of the angle on the door. Not a big deal, but if your **** you mat want to go with the drill style.

Also it looks like the drive side logo rotation might be off and short of breaking the housing open I didn't see a way to adjust it.

They were a easy to put in other than having to modify the terminals, so not plug and play, total install was 15 minutes.

Is there a light in the housing too? I'm looking at some red ones I found on ebay. But if the housing doesn't light up too, I don't think I will get the red ones.

No lights in the housing, only the logo.

A few people that get the drill units were actually covering the puddle lamps with tape so they didn't light up, or at least the clear part of the puddle lamp.
