I use the paddles all the time, and not once have I thought to myself that bigger paddles would be better. Why all the craze for bigger paddles?

The ones pictured do look pretty easy to install. How do you order from Alibaba?

For me it's only been partially about increasing the size of the paddles. My main goal is to upgrade the tactile feel of the shifters. The stock cheap slippery hollow plastic deals just don't measure up to the rest of the car's touch surfaces IMO.

That's a pic of my XFR with the paddle extensions in the first post.
Each paddle has four holes on the edge which you then put a grub screw in to fix the extension onto the stock paddle, see the pics on the linked pages.
That's the normal way to install them, but I didn't do it that way as I was worried that the grub screws would mark/damage the stock paddles and that damage would show if I decided to remove the extensions. Also, it seems to me that it would be very difficult and fiddly to get some of those grub screws in place without removing the paddle assemblies from the car (again, see the pics on the linked pages).
My solution was to stick the extensions on using 3M double-sided tape.
Five minute job, no need to remove the paddle assemblies, sticks nice and solid, no damage if I decide to remove them.

I like... The XF image shows a right hand drive, and I think paddles are opposite (up/down shift) from the left hand drive, correct?
Web site shows them correctly though....

The paddles are the same way around for both LHD and RHD.
The 'down' - pedal on the left and the 'up' + pedal on the right.
So these extensions are a universal fit.

Ah, I see it now... The right side looked like a negative sign until I really zoomed in on it....

Thanks

So, you have to remove the existing paddles to add these?

As they remove easily, it looks to be the best way if you going to use the set screws... ...
I just ordered my set and wont see then for a couple weeks, but I may try the sticky back idea first...

Well I passed this through my wife filter and to my dismay she told me that bigger is not necessarily better. I'm devastated.

Tell her it's not about bigger, it's about stiffer! If she doesn't approve of that reasoning, you may have other things to worry about.

Just a short followup and review, having ordered a set.
The product is pretty much as shown. They look nice, and feel sturdy. However I found a few areas that some may wish to consider before ordering a set.

First was the unexpected thickness. The material is very near (maybe slightly under) 1/4" thick, and the attachment point to your existing switches are not recessed. After installation, you soon discover the backside of your fingers now rub against the light and wiper control stalks. Not enough to move them, just annoying to feel them at all (And my fingers are by no means fat).

Second was that due to the increased length, I have inadvertently touched them with my knees, and causing an unwanted shift up or down. Most of this happens at low speeds such as parking lot, or exiting a driveways, where there is a large amount of steering wheel rotation happening.

Third issue was that they are perfectly flat pieces of aluminum... So although they are within reasonable reach at their attachment point on our existing switches, the gap between wheel and lever increase the further up or down their length your fingers travel.

Finally, the back side where your fingers come in contact is flat and smooth. There should be some sort of texture there as the glossiness is disappointing.

On to light nit-picking... I ordered the Silver set.... Which totally fought my dark interior... Even the gold-ish hue of the steering wheel controls conflicted with such a bright silver.

Nit Pick number two was the sharp shapes and corners, which also fought the interiors overall all design. Everything about our dash is smooth and gently rounded. The hard 80% and 120% angles just did not fit to the cockpit appearance.

In a partial close of this review, I have removed them (for sale if interested) and replaced them with the more curved and black set. Much better except for the same thickness and increasing gap problem. I may try to do a light bend to them to lessen the gap problem.

Vince
