Quilted Seats
I went into the Jaguar dealership today to make an appointment for my first annual service. They have a 2014 XKR with performance quilted seats. I never seen quilted factory seats before in the XKR. They looked absolutely stunning-Black with cranberry red stitching. I don't see quilted seats as an option on the Jaguar website. Anyone know anything about quilted seats as an option? When I go in for my service in 2 weeks I'll take some pictures and post them. Attached are some pictures of custom made quilted seats from Leather Car Seats in the UK.

"the Project 7 cabin also lowers the driver’s seat 1.2 inches. "Quilted leather" and plenty of carbon-fiber trim is used liberally throughout the interior.

We may also see "diamond-quilted leather" door panels also in the future. This is another feature of the project 7 sports car.
Looks like they got the idea from the Jaguar Project 7 car. They don't need to be performance seats to be quilted.
When I go back for my service visit I'll snap some pictures. The quilted leather center looks real sweet--front and back seats . I'm not sure if the door panel was quilted also.

Halifax, Nova Scotia. I'll post some pictures of the seats soon. I have apartment buildings in the area and drive by the dealership on a regular basis.
When you take the pics pay attention to whether or not they also include the perforations for a cooled seat.
I don't know if the quilting will allow those perforations to be in the leather. Just curious to know how this was handled.
TIA

Just don't like the look, but many others just might like them.
These seats are part of the updated (for 2014) XKR Performance Pack, or an option on the XKR-S. "Diamond Sew" is on the Performance Seats only, so ventilation/cooling is not available. Colors are Charcoal/Red Stitch, Charcoal/Charcoal Stitch, and Ivory/Ivory Stitch; seems like they would look amazing in Caramel, but no such luck. Door Panels are unchanged (no quilting). The XKR Performance Pack also now includes a Suedecloth steering wheel. The switch from the polished Vulcan to the black/diamond-turned Vortex is...unfortunate. Generally Jaguar OEM wheel designs are fantastic, but they have a few real dogs in the line-up.

The Jaguar website, "build your car", says nothing about a performance pack? This sounds more like an interior pack--no suspension upgrade, no tuning upgrade, no exhaust upgrade, no adaptive dynamics upgrade, no tires upgrade. I do like the quilted interior look. The suede steering wheel will get real dirty. Would be nice for the steering wheel to have a flat bottom and hand position mouldings like the Arden(sp) steering wheel. Where did you find this info?
