Haha, agreed the pictures did make it look as if it had been in a fire indeed. And That quote of yours did make me laugh out loud

That "five acres of tinfoil" quip about the new X150 dashboard was from Jeremy Clarkson. It's at 1:20 in this oldie but goodie episode of Top Gear.

Wow! That looks amazing. My 2015 has a combination of wood trim and the piano black over the radio console. I would love to have all of it be the wood trim. I will have to start watching e-bay. Quick question - did you swap out the pieces yourself or have them installed?

Thank you. Quite happy with the result. I brought it to my specialist to have it installed. I like to think I can do it myself but with these very visible pieces and first time I would rather have specialist do it. He did it in a very reasonable amount of time.

I do still have the aluminium dash trims. Was thinking of posting them but not had the time yet.
You can see on the original photo that around gear and central console are piano black and dash and door pieces are aluminium. Let me know if you are interested

See before and after pic. If anyone is interested in the black/aluminium trim I would be willing to help sending mine.

New set up

Old set up (let me know if interested)
hello RemyFrank

Default Still have them

Hi Omarus, bonjour, yes I still have the Aluminium/piano black parts. Looks like you are in France.

happy to connect. Did not seem to be able to write you a direct message but we can message here I guess. What set up do you currently have?

Mine is for a March 2010 XK (5.0 gear shifter is different to the 4.2)

best regards,

Remy

Hi Omar,

That’s a nice coincidence re France. Probably sending is easiest as I live in Netherlands but will be visiting Compiegne weekend 14/15 Oct should that be near or en route from the North.

curious what type of wood you have although I am quite happy with mine.

Cordialement,

Remy

unfortunately Compiègne is 5 hours drive from my home otherwise I would have come to meet you there. I'm near Strasbourg
That’s the only picture I found in my phone where you can see a small part of the trim

Default Sending is the best option then

Hi Omar,

Pas de problemes, sending is probably the best option re Strasbourg and Compiegne. It’s pretty light material. Would you want me to send it to you and would you be ok with 100 euro for the aluminium parts?

best regards,

Remy

Hi Remy,
100€ is a fair price. I'm just wondering if it comes with the door trims (small pieces close to the window button). do you have any picture of the whole set?
thank you

Hi Omar, yes the door pieces are a part of it. Why don’t you send me a message via email and I have inserted pictures below.

best regards,

Remy
