Default Replacing headlights...

I'm sure there's a thread for this but I can't find it. So, quickly, how easy is it to replace the headlight units on a 2007 XK? Just got two off of ebay in great shape. The original ones are to far gone from sun damage to restore. Can't imagine it's difficult but wanted to get some feedback before I started on them. I am relatively mechanically adept so I'm not worried about doing this, I just don't want to find out part way through I need special tools are there's some weird obstacle I wasn't anticipating.

Thanks in advance!

If I remember correctly there are 2 screws up front and one behind the wheel well. You don't need to take the wheel well liner off as there is cutout for the screw......After removing those 3 screws....unplug the headlight washer hose (underneath the headlight) and then wiggle the headlight partially out. Then unplug the headlight harness and the headlight comes right out. It's actaully very easy that after you do it once....you can remove within 5 minutes.

Just remember once you detatch the headlight washer hose, some washer fluid might leak out so possibly put a towel underneath the hose.

If you have an owners manual...it actual does a decent job showing you how to remove.

I just restored a set on my BMW 5 series with crystal view. It actually worked and it comes with a sealant so they don't turn back dingy and cloudy. You might try that before buying some more.
