Default Roof Control Module

Hi,

owner of a 2007 XKR convertible. I currently have the 'parcel shelf not in position' message on the dash and the roof will not open. Had two auto electricians look and charge to fix it but without success. The parcel shelf sensor appears to be operating as is showing as opening and closing when tablet is plugged into car. All other security systems and which are controlled by the same security module that operates the roof are working fine. Any information or leads will be very much appreciated.

Check that the metal tag on the left side of the parcel shelf is still there. Sometimes they break off or dislodge. Also you can hold a piece of steel over the switch or tape it there to see if this is the problem .

Thanks for the note jagtoes, but yes have check the proximity switch in the luggage shelf holder and that is sending out a voltage. However we have to date been unable to determine if that is the right voltage, very little information of this switch.

It's an on/off switch so it either works or not. What do you get when you put a meter on it.
