Default SC couplers

Which supercharger coupler is quieter? the OEM w/spring or the aftermarket solid coupler? Also, does anyone have data on how long before the aftermarket solid coupler would need changing? Most say the OEM coupler needs changing at around 80K miles.

My '10 XKR needed a new coupler at less than 17,000 miles.

Having had both designs in my XJR and both in a Pontiac GP GTP; I find the OEM spring loaded coupler quieter and I'm happy to pay the $50-70 I've found them at. My XJR needed it at 90k, my XKR Convertible still sounds good at 110k, and my GTP needed it at about 145k.

Where can I get the OEM for that price? Thanks.
