It appears the XJ & XF have the same side mirrors as the 2010+ X150. The colored mirror caps and carbon fiber option are listed as fitting all. Can anyone confirm this? Also I imagine I just need to tie the turn signal wiring in the wings to the mirror signal wiring? It seems someone here has done this but I could not find the thread.

 

I recall reading where someone wanted to swap mirrors for blind spot and turn signal but haven't found a thread where someone's actually done it.

So you're looking to confirm the door mounts are identical? Also which years XJ and XF?

 

I saw it a few years ago and it may not have been in a thread. I guess I could check the electrical diagrams for the wiring. Even though the color keyed covers may fit across all models, the mounts and/or wiring could be different. I think 2010+ have the same turn indicator/cover.

 

According to my dealer the blindspot monitors will not work if the new mirrors were to be retrofitted to my 13XKR. They did not address whether the mirrors would fit with or with out any physical modification. My guess is that the mirrors will fit and you will be able to get the turn indicators to work with some wiring changes. I don't think that that would be extremely complicated. By the way I discovered yesterday that the mirror itself just pops off and on in the housing.

I don't know why not. But, that is a guess.
