Nice. The GTR is a animal. Not many car can touch it in acceleration or, particularly on the track. Too bad it has such a bland exterior design.

I think that GTR is modded. It is supposed to kill everything from a dig but on a roll it's hp to weight ratio. And it has a lower ratio than XKR. They weigh about the same if not the GTR a bit more and it has the same or less hp depending on the year.

If it did pull on the 5.0L from a roll it would be barely. That thing pulls so hard on the XKR that it either simply isn't stock or they under-rate them by like 100hp!

 

The GTR does have a slight power to weight advantage. The new 2013 GTR has, I think, around 540HP and the video does not say which year's cars they were racing. Weight wise they pretty much equal with the XKR.

Perhaps, it could also be a difference in gear ratios. The XKR has rather relaxed gear ratios. The GTR pretty much wastes everything that I have seen so far on acceleration, even the ZO6 Vette which had a much better power to weight ratio at 505HP@3175lbs.

Nice kills for the jag. I'm surprised at how much it pulled on the m3. As far as the gtr is concerned, they are very fast. I test drove one last yr and it was really quick. I went for a ride in my buddy's 09 gtr this past weekend. It has a custom Cobb tune and full exhaust (over 600 crank hp). He launched it and took it to over 120mph- ridiculous fast. Significantly faster than a Porsche 997 TT S! But like people say, comparing our jags to the gtr- "beauty and the beast".
