Sump gasket replacement

Sump gasket replacement
I previously noticed a few of the sump bolts have drips of oil on them. Nothing major but needs sorting.
I noticed it a few months ago and tried just a quarter turn nip up of the bolts in opposite locations sequence (like doing head bolts) but it's not sorted it.
Could I try doing that again? Don't want to overtighten, or is it better to just go for a new sump gasket?
Cheers

Make sure it's coming from the gasket and not running around from the shaft going through the timing cover at the front - that is where I have a very slight leak and it would gather around the sump where the bolts are.
Mine is going to be fixed under my third party warranty.
At $2000 I would not pay for it out of my own pocket as it's very slight.

Clean the area thoroughly and determine the cause of the leak to be certain it is engine oil.
It can also be from the cam cover gasket, or the front crankshaft seal as mentioned above.
If you haven't done so already, obtain the Workshop Manual and read through the procedure for replacing the sump gasket(s). They can be obtained on eBay for less than ten quid.

Funny enough, just above the oil filter, there is a drip of oil on the bottom of a cover type thing (a bit shaped like a number 8). Is this a timing belt/adjuster cover? I do think this is separate to the sump gasket as that has the oil on the sump bolt head at the other side. Both are very slight but hard to see where coming from. The car doesn't do a lot of miles and sits for a couple of weeks at a time in the garage.
