TDF Blue
Kyanite Blue was released to the US, but perhaps a Kyanite Blue Metallic was not?
I like it on the XFR, and it also appears to be a good matche for the 2012+ cars as well.
Right now I have a cold and major headache, my thinking is impaired from normal ; which is why I'm running the different cars/thoughts by the forum as I'm not in full personal powers of judgement.
Kyanite Blue/Caramel XKR drop top, 2011. The wood trim is something darker than the norm and I'm not sure about that detail; however I supposed it could be replaced with different wood trim if I didn't like it.
I think I'm gonna turn in to bed early. Comments would be appreciated, I can't make my own judgement right now.

That is absolutely correct combination- and I am unanimous in that!
There is a reason the ivory interior on a vert has non-matching carpets and much too busy with 3 colors: Ivory carpeting would show a ton of dirt. Dash would be blinding. The Caramel on the other hand is so utilitarian that everything, including the doorsills can be done in a beautiful warm interior.
Incidentally, I preferred the indigo xkr you sent me- same color combo as Moses's AM. But not due to the color, rather its pedigree. Had I not had a similar relationship with my own car, I would have jumped on that one. It comes around once in a blue moon.

Mazda has used that color for years, very similar to IRR. Keep something in mind regarding reds, they tend to fade the quickest.
Have you considered some of the liquid wraps (not plastidip)?
Also matte wraps can stain easily.

After taking a break from work and getting some rest I've been focusing on which are my favorite 5.0 XKR's available.
I came down to two cars that rest at some what opposites:
One a coupe, the other a convertible
One under extended warranty and low miles, the other about to leave its CPO 7 year/100,000 miles on both counts.
One I wouldn't change anything but perhaps the wood inserts to different wood inserts, the other I would get wrapped bright red.
Once you eliminate down to two choices, its a lot easier for the mind to function with a good result.
But ultimately, this wins out. I've principled to where for everything I have, I counter it with invested capitol of equal amount. I don't need to buy insurance for things this way, and it keeps my expenses at a very low drag rate. This is important to me.
Adding a sub 20K mile 5.0 XKR right now would upset that balance, it would be like having the hood fly open on a race track from a financial stand point. I still have a motor, but I need to stop and close the hood losing a lot of time.
I don't want to sell the one I own.
The prices of these cars is trending down, my funds are trending up. A later date for a purchase like this keeps my life with mobility. Its just not the time.
I have a lot of faith in the X150 to hold up to use if its cared for, a high mileage 5.0 XKR in similar condition to the 169,000 mile 4.2 XKR that sold recently would be a no brainer deal for me to do.
The convertible is at 90K, some what worth looking into; but I think I'd rather keep my options open for when another Indigo coupe comes along a blue moon from now.
Pete, on a 2012+ maybe the kyanite blue could win out, but for the older headlight style, this is the blue.

I brought the Aston to a Cars & Coffee at the local Ferrari Maserati dealer. It was quite cloudy out and it made the Aston look super dark to me. I have 26,000 lumens of light in the garage. The color seems more vivid in the garage.
People were digging the car, especially in that color combo. As I was leaving someone came up to me and said a woman wanted to buy it. I saw a woman going up down the car earlier; it must've been her. I just got this car; too early to sell but encouraging.
There was an Enzo that showed up. My favorite Ferrari; what a machine.
