Water leak to drivers footwell on 2009 xk has been traced to leaking gland where the lower steering column goes through the bulkhead.

Before I shop the car I need to know if there are any drains that may be blocked by leaves etc on the engine side or anything else that needs checking that would cause water to gather and in leak into car in this area.

It is NOT air conditioning drains as water can be seen entering through gland.

 

What's a Gland?

 

That is a $1000 USD job to fix it properly. AC drain design is bad and is a known issue on XK's.

 

A device, such as the outer sleeve of a stuffing box, designed to prevent a fluid from leaking past a moving machine part.

He he... One of the more interesting parts of dealing with an international car! Cool terms we don't often hear in the US! "Gland" and "Stuffing Box" are not car terms here!

Anyhow OP, as said earlier, the issues is common and not fun to deal with. Pulling the dash is the correct fix by Jag, but others have been a little more creative if you search for it....
A recent post shows that the water can back up and kill a module under the dash as well, so best to get it fixed...
