Default Top Coat product?

Anyone have any experience with a "Top Coat" product, I'm seeing advertised? Perhaps, just another shiny cover product?????

Got a link Red Rider? I consider Richard the expert on finishes but it would help to see what you're seeing.

I think this is what RedRider is talking about: https://topcoat.store/

My Facebook feed got flooded with ads for the stuff a few weeks ago, and it looks to be some sort of sealant/wax/ceramic alternative. I'm curious about it too.

There is a lot of marketing on the TopCoat F11 product. The TopCoat website is filled with only positive testimonials. They claim it is a revolutionary product. I find nothing special about the TopCoat F11 product.

I do however believe the end product is a "polymer" spray sealant product. There are many of these polymer products available and are a good choice in paint protection, slickness of the paint surface and hydrophobic water qualities.

While the kit sells for about $60.00, I have used other polymer sealants that would be comparable to the TopCoat F11, polymer and nano ceramic. The polymer sealants are lower in price and durability is less than a ceramic coating which is higher in price.

The polymer is a sealant while the nano-ceramic products are actually paint coatings.

A 4 oz. spray bottle of polymer sealant will coat about $30.00, while the 4 oz bottle of a nano-ceramic paint coating will cost $80.00 to $100.00.

The durability of a nano-ceramic product will last up to 3 years, which provides excellent durability. A polymer sealant will last 6 to 9 months before the process and product need to be re-applied. A ceramic coating will have the best durability and last up to 3 years.

Here's my recommendation for a sealant and ceramic coating.

Blackfire Crystal Sealant....cost $30.00 for a 4 oz. bottle. Available at Amazon.com...
Amazon Amazon

Pinnacle Black Diamond Paint Coating...cost $80.00 for a 4 oz bottle. Available at Autogeek.net. .... Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating

Feel free to check out the links. If anyone has an interest in using either of these products, send me a PM and I will send my step-by-step method of applying and detailing your car via a pdf attachment.

The key to any success using a polymer sealant or ceramic coating is the paint surface prep before applying either a sealant or ceramic coating.

If you use either a polymer sealant or ceramic coating, there will be no need to ever use any wax products.

Hope I didn't dis anyone. I read the OP's request as a generic top coat and linked that to mean ceramic coat, not a specific product.

I know plenty of you gents have very effective systems for keeping that shine on your babies and my thoughts were limited to ceramic.

Thanks Rich for your usual informative reply. I'm going to look closer at your suggestions.
