My top got stuck open last night, it is closed now. While performing the top reset procedures outlined in the manual, the pressure release screw on the pump in the trunk came completely out. I have tried to re-tighten it but it just free spins, it will not tighten. Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix?

@mullisrd - I just went out to my 2007 parts car, since I had nothing to lose, and was curious, and was UNABLE to completely remove the screw - there is a very hard stop. I did'nt put a wrench on it, but it was impossible to hand-crank any further.

Hope that gives you a tiny bit of solace - looks like yer valve body might be fubared. Though, I really can't figure out HOW this complete removal would happen. Got a foto of the screw - is there any bodged up threads, or a nyloc - that has been "damaged"

The threads look fine, it does not look stripped nor do the threads on the valve. When I was loosening it it was tight but then it completely released. I was using the provided allen wrench.

hmmm - I was using my allen, but didn't go to "gorilla strength". Definitely felt like I was hitting a tapered stop. Perhaps one of these more knowledgeable folks can help.

No, it just free-spins. I cannot see anything physically damaged.
