Touchscreen Issues

Touchscreen Issues
I realize that this subject has been discussed ad nauseam and I have read all of the posts.
Here's the scenario and hopefully someone can give me a bit of guidance. I had the touchscreen lockup issue shortly after I bought the car. Thanks to the reads on this forum I quickly realized that my car was not an anomaly. I had the software update done by a dealer. No resolution - same lockup issue.
I brought the car back to the same dealer with the same problem. I even researched the TSBs and gave those to the dealer: software upgrade and bezel clearance.
To their credit, the dealer convinced Jaguar to authorize a new touchscreen to the tune of about $2.5K USD. I'm a happy camper because it's fixed and we're CPO.
Seven hours and four starts later, the touchscreen locks up. Not so happy now.
Has anyone been through this and any thoughts on how to actually address the issue?
Thanks,

Given that the new touchscreen is locking up, it's fairly safe to say that the old touchscreen was probably ok. The touchscreens can definitely go bad, but that's rare.
Everytime I hear about this issue I start thinking "input" to computer that drives the display, or connection/wiring between display and computer/unit driving the display. If only we had the schematic of the display/headunit and the associated circuitry driving the display.
To debug this means getting into the dash and messing with the touchscreen inputs and such. But without the schematics that explain how things are connected it would be very difficult to debug.
I know they are not really close to you, but I can recommend Cadillac-Jaguar of Northlake in Tucker. Chris is the owner and has been working on Jags for a long time. He really knows his stuff. Plus they are cheaper than Jag with their per hour labor charge. I would bet they could find your problem and fix it. He has fixed stuff for me that Hennessey could not find/figure out. Tell them I sent you...they know me I can help you get there if you would like to converse about it. Send me a PM
