Default TPMS tire pressure on staggered XKs

Another TPMS thread! I have searched and found no answer..

On my door the recommended tire pressures are front: 33psi rear: 36psi
with that being said, my TPMS is not happy unless my both front and rear
are set about the same PSI!!

frustraiting..

how am I suppose to run the staggered tire pressures and make TPMS
happy?

The TPMS is working fine, its just I can't have different pressure in the front and back
without setting off the check tyre pressure alarm.

I have tried deflating all 4 tyres with the doors locked, and inflating with the engine running.
I have also tried over inflating, this is not the issue here.

The wheel sensors for the TPMS have a service life of roughly eight to ten years until the lithium-ion battery fails. Once that happens, erratic messages are often displayed.

The lithium-ion battery is not serviceable so the sensor(s) must be replaced.

Thanks for the reply,

This is not the issue..

My TPMS sensors work fine when all the tires are set to the same pressure.

when I increase the rear to 36PSI or decrease the front to 33PSI
this is when the TPMS goes off, once I correct the pressure to be
33PSI front and rear or 36PSI front and rear etc. the TPMS
light goes away and stays away.

I assume you went through the automatic reset procedure as described in the manual. If so and they didn't reset then you need to have the module or sensors checked.

TPMS is probably the one thing that will have me taking the dash apart just to do some custom de-soldering to the yellow LED. I don't mind red triangling the warning but the yellow LED is annoying.

As jagtoes said, go for a drive.
I have two sets of staggered wheels/tires, one runs the standard 33/36, and the other I run higher at 37/40, no TPMS issues with either.

I think this should be a Sticky:

"Do not post complaints about TPMS until after all wheel sensors have been replaced."

I have had TPMS issues on all three XKs I have owned including my 13 XKR. The issue with this car is that the RF Tyre not monitored warning comes on on an intermittent basis. I have had the dealer work on it at least three times in the 18 months I have owned the car. They have replace the central module at least twice; but to no avail. their comments state that the tyre units are functioning properly and sending the appropriate signals. Any suggestions?
