Default Trim Molding material on a convertible

Hi - does anyone know what material the trim molding is made out of for a 2011 XKR convertible - not sure if it is chrome or brushed aluminum - I'm guessing it's chrome but just wanted to double check. It's the metallic part that the convertible roof rests on when it is up - see attachment for diagram.

cheers

Joe

79 Views but 0 Replies as I write!

I'm at a disadvantage by not having a convertible ( ) but if it looks the same shiny finish as the door waist rails, it's likely to be the same stainless steel.

Only a guess, but I'm with Graham that it is probably stamped SS.

Thanks Graham - I'm pretty sure it's the same material as the door waist rails

I agree with this. Why do you need to know?

The trim was looking a little watermarked, so was looking to see what the best polish would be
