After a hard reset in idle I did windows parking brake etc. when I tried to do the driver seat back I moved the seat fully forward, held the control for a few seconds then fully reclined the seat back, held for a few seconds then seat back forward but it wouldn’t go upright. It only raises forward to the memory recline position I previously had it then stops. Am I doing it wrong?

 

Never heard of a manual “seat back reset” procedure.
You may have triggered an issue that has been noted on this forum several times, where a reclined seat will not come up. You may need to reprogram the seat module. Can be done in SDD, and several aftermarket tools also have the ability.
Search this forum and you’ll find those that have done it successfully.

 

You will need to do a seat calibration, the MaxiAP 200 dongle worked for me.
