Vibration at certain revs
Hi,
I have recently bought an 08 XKR Coupe (with the concealed aeriel) and noticed a vibration through the steering wheel. I had the wheels, tyres, balance, wheel alignment etc checked out and it all came back clean. I have now realised that if i rev the engine when stationary and in neutral or park there is vibration through the car and steering wheel at certain revs. It is worst *at 1350 and 2200 revs (latter being usual cruising speed revs and I think this explains the vibration I feel through the steering wheel. Has anyone else had this? Could owners of the same model check before I go and harangue the dealer? Can't be normal surely?

XKRoger,
Take a look at this post and see if this sounds like your problem:

Hi Zman. Thanks for the reply. That isn't it. I have the exhaust drone as well(!) but it doesn't really bother me. This is different it is a full on vibration through the whole car (including the steering wheel) when I have the car in neutral or park and hold the revs at 1350 or 2200. If other owners of 08 model XKR's could see if they have this, it would really help me out.
