CCR is an acronym, I just hesitated to suggest what the 'R' is for as we always just referred to CCRs as Complex Components, I think the 'R' is either 'Requirement', 'Request' or 'Resource'; but somewhere at the back of my mind is a little niggle which says it was something completely off the wall, which is why no-one on the project ever said more than Complex Component!
