What Say You All?

In my own humble opinion, the Coupe doesn't match up to the exterior lines of a Convertible, top up OR top down. The Coupe looks more like a, I don't know, backwards fish? Reminiscent of the early 1960s Plymouth Barracudas that I never liked, sort of a Greenhouse rear glass.
...and your opinion is wrong! The coupe looks absolutely stunning. I am a convertible guy myself...but the coupe is out of the world.

I'm with Jagtoes; she-who-must-be-obeyed insists on the drop top. And frankly, I like it, too. But it would be bad-*** to add a second coupe down the line to the collection.

Why was ACC standard equipment in 2010? My guess is that Marketing wanted to give the "new and improved" 5.0L 510HP XKR a "fully loaded" value advantage (with no options except trim/color choices) and take market share from Porsche, which is legendary for its long list of overpriced options. If so, that was a successful strategy and gave the XKR five more years of life.
Note that the X150 began life as a 2006 model in the UK and production ended in 2015. Definitely appropriate, prophetic and ironic that the Big Cat did, in fact, have 9 lives!

Its the English way, is not luxury if not all there, or one has to haggle. I agree fully it was to further draw the line between German code of conduct and British.

Colour is not part of the VIN code.
You need the Paint Code (item 8) from the manufacturer's certification label on the door pillar to determine the colour.
Attachment 127566
This is the North American label. Style varies across World markets.

FWIW in the great Coupe VS Vert debate, it comes down to climate IMHO. If I lived someplace that had limitless sunshine like LA, San Diego, Vegas? Then a convertible would totally be the answer, but here in Seattle with a London like 60 clear days a year? It makes no sense to strap a soggy blanket to a fine automobile. :-)
Besides, I intend whatever Jag I get, to be my Daily which is to say a few days a week out running around and one or two EPIC road trips a year. On LONG drives, I'll do 5K miles in a few weeks, head down to Texas or whatever, I like the extra quiet of a hard top, especially after 8-10 hours on the road, though I will really miss a sunroof...

Grab this OMG sexy Silver one in Texas...
I like the Silver a little more, but it's at some random Honda Dealership, and it's $6K less with similar miles. But the red one is at a Jaguar Dealership, which gives me a little more peace of mind.
Also, anyone else notice the off-center exhaust on the rear of this car? Not sure if bothers me or not. Either way I'd be flying to Texas, Getting a PPI done at a local Jag Dealership, then HOPEFULLY driving home with it...
But this is why I haven't simple written a check yet, that damn silver.

One more question regarding year of XKR. Did I miss something after about 2011 or so? All the beautiful wood, that to me makes a Jag that little bit more special just disappears. Or it's only a couple sad dash pieces with this massive middle slab of piano black. Was this just part of the updated look? Cause I don't like it.

You kidding mate? the sensual roofline of a coupe is the most recognizable feature in a jaguar. And the tapered rear window. Without it, its half a Jaguar.
Its the design they cherish at museums. You make it sound like its ugly. Just telling you that you would be in the very small minority. Te roadster is also beautiful.
Coupes fetch more in the used car market than conv.

Unless things have changed over the last few years I found during my search for a convert that coupes were 3-5K cheaper then converts. I know some years back I looked at XK-E's and the coupes were dirt cheap even for a fully restored car $30-$50K range while all of the converts were 6 figure cars.

I wouldn't worry about the exhaust, it's supported by rubber hangers, just give it a nudge. Worst case, you loosen the clamps to the mid pipes to straighten it out, then tighten them back up again.
