My 2007 XKR came with lots of things missing in the interior. It appears that the someone had begun re-upholstering and then not finished the job properly. Amongst them is this sensor on the A-pillar to the left of the driver. Anyone know what it is and how I can get the cover for it? Or even what the cover should look like so I can make something similar.

If your 2007 is actually the second year of production, that’s going to be the location of the microphone for your phone (first year it was inside the A-pillar, then they placed it on the outside for subsequent years).

You made my day. I have seen that lump on other cars and wondered what it is.
My XK was built in June 06 so I guess it is inside the A pillar.
While we are on lumps, some XKs have a antenna lump on the middle of the trunk lid.
I do not have one but wonder what it is for?
