Default Who else is using the rotary

I just saw a Ford commercial where they are using the rotary shift selector and I think I saw one being used on a Chrysler product. They don't have the "rise" feature but it looks like the same application. I also wonder if they are using ZF gearboxes or just using the e-linkage. Also are there any other other mfg's using this system. Just curious.

My 2015 Corvette C7 has a rotary selection for the driving mode. Many cars constructors are going to this method for drive selection or for automatic gear selection.

Jag have a patent on theirs (searchable online) but with patents the devil (and what is protected) is in the detail.

Mercedes wouldnt need to patent their column shift - no-one would want to copy it!

I had a Nissan Ultima rental car about a month ago on a short trip to the Bay area and it had a rotary shifter and paddles. I don't think I would want a rotary without paddles.
