Windows drop late
Do you guys have a "problem" with too slow windows drop when opening doors? Each time I open doors (pass and driv), window drop reacts half a second too slow, so opening the doors is painful cause glass stucks. I have to put my hand on handle before I open the door, wait a moment till it drops and open. I mean its not that big deal for me, but passengers don't know that. And it's getting a bit annoying. Mechanism works perfectly on both doors, it just doesnt react fast enough when I pull the handle. Is it design flaw or I have a problem?
Mine takes maybe a total of 1/3-second to fully operate, but I don't know if it's considered 'slow' or not. I've never noticed any problem with it that way. Since all electronic, I don't even know where that signal originates.
But when you pull the handle, glass doesn't stuck on the upper window trim?
Cold weather can cause the glass to "stick" to the rubber weatherstripping and slow down the process a bit. Spray some silicon-based lubricant on a cotton swab ("Q-tip" in the USA) and use it to wipe the window weatherstripping, particularly inside the top and sides of the channel in which the window glass rides.
Again, make sure you use a silicone lube on a cotton swab. If you spray directly on the weatherstripping, the overspray will go everywhere and make a mess that you'll have to remove.
Hope this helps.

My front windows drop immediately the handle is pulled. It's not a gradual lowering - it's a rapid movement from the closed position to the drop position necessary to clear the door seal. The movement is noticeably faster than the speed the glass lowers or rises on the lift button. Both my XK's have been the same.

If lubricating the weatherstripping channels per my Post #4 fixes the problem, then resetting the windows is unnecessary.
