Default Wiper blade replacement

Can someone please explain how to change the wiper blades on my XKR convertible (2104). I can't seem to life the blades away from the screen by more than a few centimetres and so cannot remove the old blades.
Thanks in advance.

Try looking here. you need to shut off the car at mid wipe cycle.

I just shoved a balled up rag under the arm with the hood open and swapped them out. No real drama.

Just saw this thread as trying to replace my wipers and cannot remove old ones. I can park the wipers in the service position but still cannot pull them away from the window. How did you then remove the old blades. There is a diagram on here about putting a flat screwdriver between the two parts and lifting but have tried and worried about breaking. Any advice?

Hi
On my car, an XKR, the wiper assembly doesn't lift away from the screen comletely. I placed a balled up cloth under the wiper arm, lifted the wiper assembly away from the screen as far as it would go, rotated the wiper blade so that it was at 90 degrees to the arm and pushed the blade assembly so that it came away from the U shaped end of the wiper arm. Reassemb;ly is the reverse of above.
Hope this helps.

Blades simply "click " out . If in doubt get some one from a auto store to do it for a couple of $

Exactly! Press/release the locking clip on the wiper and slide it off the "U" end of the wiper arm - approx 4 cm. You can then lift the wiper arm through the wiper blade frame. Take the new wiper, position it under the wiper arm and let the "U" drop through. Align and pull firmly until it clicks in place. Couldn't be much simpler
