Default Wireless switch for radio antenna

Anybody done this , seems like it would be a viable option sort of like your fob for you door locks, just keep it in your center console and intercept the wire at fuse panel.

There are switches like that which are controlled by an unused GDO button, ie HomeLink. Many on Google.

However, most people seem to just disable the aerial from extending at all, and usually no signal loss is experienced. Of course, that depends on locale and actual signal strength available.
