Wiring Harness

RESOLVED - Decoding Wiring Harness Numbering
Great thanks to XDave who provided an explanation of the engineering numbering nomenclature:
"Let's break the engineering number down:
7W83-14A005-EH =
Released in 2007 (7W) for the XK (83)
14A005 is the cabin harness
E = Major specification version E
H = Minor revision version H
9W83-14A005-JD =
Released in 2009 (9W) for the XK (83)
14A005 is the cabin harness
J = Major specification version J
D = Minor revision version D
(Note the released dates are when the part was released from engineering, and not necessarily when the cars they were fitted to were made.) "
So in my case the significance will be what major specification changes were made from rev E to rev J to understand how much one can substitute for the other.

Based on the VIN info you provided to me:
Target SAJW*******B37***
5.0L SC
Convertible
LHD / USA market
Adaptive speed control
SDARS
The original cabin harness order no. was C2P16372. WERS 9W83-14A005-JD.
Only vehicles from B32753 to B44939 with the specification mentioned above are directly compatible.
(e.g. must be convertible not coupe, must have SDARS, etc.)
I think I have found the donor part you are looking to fit (the one with the video of the car?) It is not clear if it is a SC V8 (badges may have been removed). If you can find the VIN of that donor vehicle I can check that to get a definitive answer on compatibility.
I note you mention an issue with damaged connectors around the cabin footwell. Can you identify which connectors are damaged from the attached list? I can try and identify the connectors and see if a service kit is available for less than the replacement cost.

I have found another donor harness in the correct vin range B32753 to B44939 and checking the build specs it is a 5.0L SC, Convertible, LHD, but doesn't have Adaptive speed control (it does have speed control) or SDARS (has analogue audio broadcast). I'm not sure how much these matter but donor is German LHD vs USA LHD, has front parking aid, Garage door opener (ROW), Heated front screen.
I'm looking for some help in determining if these changes are significant or whether the donor could be adapted to work?
