Buy used 2012 JAGUAR XKRS XKR-S COMPLETE SALVAGE PROJECT RACE CAR CHASSIS in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, for US $29,999.99

VIN: SAJXA4HA2CMB45395 Year: 2012
Make: Jaguar
Drive Type: RWD
Model: XKR
Mileage: 10,000

Fresh water flood damage.

Selling the pictured 2012 Jaguar XKRS, it sustained fresh water flood damage, im sure its not worth repairing but it sure would make a perfect parts car or neat project/race car chassis, it has sustained no collision damage, it does turn over, but does not drive due to security key and im sure numerous other issues. I will also part out the car if somebody needs a substantial enough bunch of parts. This vehicle has a Canadian Non Repairable title.

I've crunched the numbers to repair numerous wrecked or water damaged XKRS and other models of Jaguars advertised on Ebay, and other automotive listings. In every case, the seller is asking $2K to $5K over what the car is worth to repair. They will often claim that it will only take $X or $Y amount of money to repair. But they leave out lots of details for the small parts, or a good paint job on the part you replaces and many other little things. I start out fairly excited, and end up bummed out realizing they are looking for a sucker to sell the car to and when you ask for too many details and offer them a more realistic price, they no longer want to work with you. If you purchase the car and put it back on the road, you are still stuck with a salvage title which drops the vehicle's value 30 to 50% if you have to sell it some day.

I believe that these companies are purchasing a lot of wrecked cars from insurance auctions and the ones they can't repair and make a profit on, they try to pawn off quickly at a premium price.
I keep looking for "a deal" to come along for a late model Jaguar that is worthy of my time and money, but no luck so far. (I don't know why I still get excited, contact the seller for more details, crunch the numbers to repair, then find out its not a very good deal and I'd be better off spending more on a good running car.)

I too am all about 'the deal'... but I don't think I want to inherit that kind of history.

Ya know, a lot of these cars appear to have similar damage, which could probably be attributed to a failed front parking sensor.
XKR-S owners... Get your front parking sensors checked out!

The The Jaguar XKR-S is a big cat with 9 lives. They may be wrecked, but they're not dead yet; 1 down, 8 to go.
