Default XK 2008 convertible - rattling noise in passenger door

Hi everyone,

Have been having an annoying rattling sound in the passenger door on my 2008 XK 4.2 convertible, rather continuous and loud / only covered with full stereo on.
Noise is apparently coming form the back end of the door and actually disappears as soon as the window is down or halfway down. So I suspect this is something to do with a part in the window mechanism getting loose when the window is up.
Wondering if there is a standard protocol to take off the door trim an take a look inside - or maybe a quick fix from somebody who has had the same issue. Trying to avoid the expensive dealer-taking-a-look, if even possible at all
Any advice appreciated - thanks
Nic

You can download the entire service manual here: http://jagrepair.com/images/AutoRepa...150Service.pdf

Page 3167 has the door trim removal directions.

A tool like this is helpful: Panel Clip Pliers, but be sure to wrap the pliers with masking tape to protect the paint.
