Default Xk 2012 washer fluid leak

Just came to top up washer fluid and it poured out, but oddly not all of it. Still functions and seems to be holding a fair bit, any advice?! Really new to this only had it 6 months and I find it hard to find decent mechanics to trust so I want to figure out what the issue is first. Appreciate any help, first post thanks.

You can search the forum about the problem, but IIRC, there is an O-ring that seals between the fill tube and the washer fluid tank. If the O-ring is cracked, dislodged, or not seated securely, whatever fluid doesn’t fit in the tank and sits above the tank in the fill tube, will leak out.

Its not really a problem as you still have 95% of the capacity in the main part of the tank as it's only the filler neck which is leaking out. The design was improved on the X150 models. On the X100 models when the equivalent seal goes you lose half the capacity of the tank.

Default Thanks

Really appreciate that help. I tried reseating the tube that sits over the rubber washer and it didn't leak directly under the reservoir so in morning I'll try a full refill with a dry driveway and see if that fixed it. Much obliged Sir!
