My only +1 here is the big difference between city and highway mileage on these cars. The low city miles I expected; the highway mileage (about 25) was a pleasant surprise.

About a year ago I filled the tank on my motorhome and my truck at the same time. Just shy of 90 US Gallons. Even with the discount at the supermarket pumps, it was still almost $300.
My XKR doesn't use crap comparatively. I will never worry about its fuel economy.

2010 XK, 57K, Drove 110+ mile today, country roads, 55 Speed Limit, set cruise at 60. Checked MPH both ways, only found about 1/2 MPG difference. She gets 17-18 MPG around town, both are very similar to my new Lincoln Aviator, Can't complain, love how the XK looks and drives.

I just took a ride from home to Pinehurst, NC. Shocked that I got 29 mpg on the way down. After some around town driving and the trip home it was 27.5 for 1327 miles…

We're currently paying $8.84 per US gallon here in the UK (that's accounting for a 17% smaller US gallon and an exchange rate of $1.22 t $1 GBP)

So to fill up a 75l tank for me in US terms would cost $166 of your USD!!,

Things are only gonna get worse, if you bellyache about the cost you bought the wrong car...and mine will return 34MPG or 28MPG (US) on a run.

Just drive and enjoy!

Gas has always been quite a bit less costly in the USA but one thing to consider is that the majority of US everything is spread out! I'm going out for drinks in a bit, 14 miles round trip...no mass transit, no walking to the corner for fresh produce...just drive baby drive. Not complaining, just "SAYING'

That's because it's downhill.
