Default XK rear seat question

Just how usable (or un-usable) are they?

Deciding between an XK Coupe or a VDP, the XK is just pure sex, the VDP an Icon. I know the lil women wants to be able to haul the grandkids from time to time, but rarely do we have back seat passengers. Your thoughts guys?

My wife(5'3" 100#) can fit in back failry comfortably and I have also in a pinch put her and my older daugher same size in back. My younger daugher 5'7 115# is really unfomfortable back there. Smaller kids would likely be fine. Any one larger would have to have their legs amputated.

No, evidently you have "cupholders" back there!

Does your wife have legs?! Lol! We have an 07 XK and the only people I can imagine fitting back there are quadruple amputees.

My travel bags fit wonderfully in the back "seats."

I'm 5'9" 220 pounds and for fun I tried sitting in the back seat. First the only way I could get in to the rear seat was with the passenger seat all the way forward and the top down. Then when I tried sitting the position was so un-natural I gave up. Aside from small children those "seats" are good for small parcels and pets, but adults no way.

I put my 22 yr old daughter (she's about 5'2" and pretty thin) in the back seat (because her boyfriend was in the passenger seat) of my 2008 XK Conv with the top down for a 20 minute ride to the beach and later back. She survived but wasn't thrilled (and pretty wind blown on the highway part). I think 20 minutes is max for a small adult.

I test drove a Lotus Evora yesterday. My daughter rode in the back and tells me that the little Lotus actually has more back seat room and comfort than my Jag.

I fit two kids in the back (9 and 6) and they are quite content. The seating position is a little vertical, but they don't care because they're excited to be in the car. I slide my seat a little forward when one of them is behind me although it's not really necessary as my seat isn't quite all the way back (I'm 5'10").

I think you can fit up to about a 12 year old back there and maybe older depending on size. For a trip to the local store you should be able to fit somebody a little bigger...just tell them to suck it up!
