Default XK Transmission Mount Life

Does anyone have experience and knowledge with the expected lifespan of the transmission mount on the XKR (x150). I have a 2007 model year and the dealer replaced the mount at 35,000 miles in 2021 and now at 40,000 miles is indicating the mount after just 5,000 miles is worn and leaking. 35k miles from the original mount, 5k miles from the replacement? Doesn't add up?

Normally if the trans mount is bad that also points to engine mount problems. If you do it a second time I would include the motor mounts too.
But yes that seems to be too short of a time period which again points to other issues causing the mount to fail.

Now one comment I will make is this. Have you got under the car and is the transmission mount leaking as they claim? Don't forget any leakage can also be engine and/or transmission oil on the mount. I guess no DIY for the repair?

I have never replaced a Jaguar transmission or engine mount and I ran my STR to 132K miles. Currently have a 62K mile XJR that I race and is modified. That does not mean yours are still good but just pointing out that the lifespan is variable and there is no agreed upon time they will last.

Thank you for the quick response. Makes sense that the motor mounts may be the culprit so I'll plan on replacing those along with the transmission mount at the same time. The dealer didn't have the part so I'll see what I can find on eBay along with the motor mounts I did identify a local mechanic that works on Jaguar here in Palm City Florida and Independent so I'll run by and talk with him. Unfortunately I don't have the setup here to get the car up in the air, but I do have this picture from the dealer. Good news is I'm not seeing any fluids on my garage floor so if it's leaking it's minor at this point. Thank you.

Parts can sweat and not be worn out, yet.
